Exercise for Life

Killie Heartmates was originally formed in 1996 by the hard work and dedication of its founder members.

John Thomson, and Sheena Thomson with the help and support of Crosshouse Hospital Cardiac department, Sister Janet MacKay and Physio department Team Leader Jane Holt and their staff. ❤

We are also grateful to Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland and their representative Kathleen Frew for their ongoing assistance. Please click on the link here to go direct to their website.

Killie Heartmates work closely with the hospital and have a regular intake of new members after their initial exercise classes at the hospital have finished and they are ready to move on to a new phase.

At the end of our weekly class members are invited to relax and have a coffee.

The club also has a social side whereby we have an annual day out to various places of interest.

These have proved to be very popular and are well supported by members.

We also have once a year weekend trips to special places requested by members.

For example the group have been to Chester, Derry,York, Belfast, Isle of Man, with our most recent trip we visited York once again.

Family members and friends are welcome and encouraged to join our trips.

Keep up to date with information on this and other items of interest by clicking on to our website on a regular basis.
